"Me"
I am all of you and you are all of me. Indeed the stories in this novel are all part of me, so allow me to tell you some more about who I am. I am a woman reaching the age of sixty nine, a number that I personally refer to as my Yin and Yang years, as I believe in the magic of numbers. My age has never been a problem to me as in fact I do not believe in time. Time; seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, seasons, years and even eras are for me an instrument just like measures. Time has been invented by us humans as a practical way of indicating the continuous change. Now don’t get me wrong; I too use this instrument and I am even renowned for my punctuality, so please do not worry Ä° will be on time for any given appointment. It is just that time does not fit in the way I view life.
As the saying goes: ”you are as old as you feel”, well now this is something I for sure can fully subscribe. Now that I am coming into my Yin-Yang period I must admit Ä° look much younger than you would maybe expect me to and I have the energy of a young filly. At some moments, allow me to use the common measures as not to confuse you, I might feel like hundred years old, but fortunately those days are really rare, as to say I could count them on the fingers of my hands.
